Enhanced Plate Measurements

Automatic Plate Brightness Calibration (1.09 and 1.18)
For much improved brightness and measurements, the Flexo IAS^® can now adjust its camera shutter automatically according to digital and analog plates!

The Right Tool for the Right Dots
Stochastic (FM) Screen Analysis (1.09)
Measure stochastic or frequency modulated patterns just as accurately using the specialized Stochastic Screen analysis, which uses a special algorithm allowing measurement of irregularly spaced dots.

"Touching" Dot Analysis (1.09)
An alternative to regular Dot Analysis, this tool is helpful in "breaking down" dots that are bridging or just touching, which occasionally occurs around mid-tone (e.g. 50%) areas.

Measurement Units Selection (1.18)
The flexibility in reporting measurement results in µm or mil!

Saving Measurement Settings (1.09)
Want a quick setup for your familiar sample? You may now save all the measurement settings created for a particular sample, or for a particular purpose and restore them in just one tap!

Icon Colors (1.18)
Analysis buttons now change according to the current color filter selected!

New Print Measurement Features

Relative Density Measurement Option (1.18)
Users may now select to measure the relative density (vs. absolute density) of line and large area features. Relative density is helpful, for example, in determining the density of ink on media.

Boundary Threshold Settings for Lines (1.18)
New options to adjust the boundary thresholds (outer, edge, density, and inner) enable more flexibility in line property analysis.

Edge Quality Analysis (1.18)
Measure characteristics of the leading edge of a large printed block. This tool is useful in measuring, among other things, how well ink holds in the transition from one area (normally of the background) to a solid area.
