Drum evaluation: OPCs and other photoreceptors
Our PDT® products offer state-of-the-art component characterization, including defect mapping and coating-uniformity mapping. PDT® systems mimic the EP printing environment to provide reliable, quantitative data. Each PDT® product scans multiple drum types and sizes. Built-in test functions measure all critical performance criteria, including:
- Charge acceptance
- Discharge sensitivity
- PIDC
- Residual voltage
- Cyclic fatigue
- Coating uniformity
- Surface defects
Advanced photoreceptor test system with charge roller charging. Used in R&D and production QC of OPC drums. Also used for monitoring primary charge roller (PCR) performance indirectly.

Semi-insulating device evaluation
QEA's test systems for semi-insulating devices emulate the EP printing process to provide reliable, quantitative data. Built-in test functions measure critical performance criteria and include defect mapping and coating-uniformity mapping. Built for efficiency and flexibility, each roller or belt test system scans multiple component models and sizes. These systems provide non-contact, non-destructive characterization of:
- Charge rollers
- Development rollers
- Transfer rollers
- Magnetic roller sleeves
- Intermediate transfer belts
- Paper and other substrates
All in one
In addition to our specialized systems, QEA now offers the DRA-2000L, a general-purpose system for testing all semi-insulating rollers and belts.
